Whale Shark Conservation

Aged 7, I participated in a poster competition surrounding the theme of the conservation of whale sharks, in which I claimed first place. This event was documented within the Seychelles national newspaper and enhanced the reach of this project. As first place winner, my poster was printed onto t-shirts and all money made from people who bought them went towards the conservation of these creatures.

'Cool Sun' Juice Commercial

Aged 10, I was part of an advertisement for a global juice brand, which was an exciting experience and one which made me interested further within the media industry. This paid opportunity took place at one of the many beaches of Seychelles, and was the start of various other media related projects.

'Tabitha' Housebuilding Charity

Due to my Cambodian heritage, giving back to the Cambodian community is definitely a highlight of my life. This charity operates within the capital Phnom Penh and provides the house building service throughout the country. I have participated in this project thrice and its an experience of a lifetime. The programme not only helps build basic homes in rural areas of Cambodia, but also allows people to further understand the culture and history of this scarred country.

Work as an Extra

Due to having attended my mothers theatre school, School of the Arts (SOTA), I was heavily involved in acting, singing and dancing. These skills then led to opportunities to become an extra on some blockbuster films such as Assassins Creed, Solo: A Star Wars Story and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. These amazing opportunities allowed me to further understand how the professional media industry operates, amplifying my interest in the sector.

Outlook South-East Asia Expedition

Summer of 2019 saw myself and a small group from my secondary school go on a month long expedition to Laos, Cambodia and Thailand. This great experience enhanced many skills such as leadership, communication and organisation. Throughout the month we trekked through mountainous regions, built shelters in rainforests and explored a culture far different from what we are used to in the Western world.

'Head of Communication'

During my time at Willink Sixth Form, I applied to become a member of the student board as role of 'Head of Communications', in which I was appointed by my fellow students. This role meant that I was in charge of communicating between my peers and staff surrounding events, fundraisers and anything that either party brought up to be discussed. This integral role built up my communication skills and intuition, whilst enhancing my teamwork qualities.
